My two nieces, Bubba and Bug, went with me this time...and they had me cracking up the whole trip. They are so "pretty". I mean, they are beautiful girls, but when you do something really ditzy, we call you pretty instead of stupid. lol. It's just so much nicer. Of course, I was just as pretty as they were, so it all worked out.
We flew out of Detroit on Frontier Airlines. I would highly recommend them! New planes, with neat little tv's built into the back of every seat. You had your own headphones and for five bucks you could watch any one of about thirty different channels!
They also had a channel that showed you where the plane currently was flying....and how fast....and how high you were!
At one point, I watched an I Love Lucy rerun....way cool.
Our first full day in AZ, we drove to Gerome, AZ....it used to be an old ghost town that was turned into an artists colony back in the sixties. We stopped for lunch at this little place so we could say we "joined" the Mile High Club!
My sister threatened my life if I let one of the girls fall off the Grand Canyon. We took this picture to mess with her. Bug is definitely the more daring of the three of us!
One morning I made the girls get up at 4:30 to go watch the sunrise in the Grand Canyon. It was about forty degrees and pitch black when we got there. Initially we were all alone...kinda like serial killer alone....and then about sixty other people started arriving and we all stood in silence as the sun rose. Totally cool. Of course, I have a thousand more pics...but they, and the rest of the story will have to wait.Oh, I met a boy in October at an Halloween Party. His name is Steve. He's normal. Do you know how long it's been since I've dated normal?? He's nice, funny, easy to talk to, and treats me like the Goddess I am! And he's VERY good at the things he does....(wink).
Sigh...it's good to be the Queen.
